Some local mongrel puppies have been rescued from a construction site in the west area of Singapore.

All of them are females and are currently awaiting adoption in a dog boarding kennel. The puppies gets along well with everyone and also other animals. The puppies can be adopted together or seperately.

Adopters need to agree to sign an adoption form before adoption, allow home visits and sterilise the pups when the reach 6 months old. Adopters also need to license and microchip the dogs.

HDB dwellers need not apply as the puppies will grow to medium size (around 2.5 ft) and are not approved by HDB. Sincere adopters please contact Willie at 81101329 for any enquiries or to arrange for viewing of the puppies.

Urgent, foster needed!

We were devastated to find out that MARIO, one of the shelter dogs at Mdm Wong's shelter, who is good-natured and has very very good temperament, is suffering from critically low blood platelets.. his test result for kidney and liver will be out soon & we are crossing our fingers that these 2 areas will be okay.

We need a cleaner & safer environment for him (which the shelter condition cannot fulfil) and thus are appealing for someone to foster him till he recovers & be well on his feet again to rejoin his friends at shelter. All expenses will be covered by the volunteers at the shelter.

Mario is about 2 yr old, tame, easy to get along and loves to snuggle.

His background: About a year plus ago, Mario was rescued from Seletar where his other siblings were poisoned to death by evil farm owners. He was found alone, skinny and weak. A happy boy now who loves human affection. He cheated death once when he was a puppy; but now his luck is running low and we hope he can escape this calamity once again.

URGENT!

A Chinese restaurant at Labrador Ville is shifting to the IR. The owner is unable to keep his dog in the hostel and has said that if no one is adopting him, he will let the dog loose in Labrador Park.

The boy has the look of a husky with GR ears. He has a good temperament, is obedient and smart and learns commands fast. He's about one year or younger.

Raised with dog food and no health problem, according to the owner.

Shiny, a mongrel we found abandoned last year, was adopted by my brother's family but he and my brother do not get along at all and my brother wants to send him away. The good news is that NANAS has agreed to take him in if nobody wants him, but my brother has not had time to get the paperwork going, and we're still hoping that in the meanwhile, Shiny can find a good home in Singapore.

He is young so he is very active. Likes to jump. Barks very loudly. He is intelligent and very alert. With loving kindness and guidance he can be trained. He will probably need to go for obedience classes with his new family. Shiny needs a lot of love and care cause he had some bad experience during his stay at the present home. Fortunately, the maid loves him and he is attached to her.

Personally , I find him a good and likeable dog but unfortunately I can't keep him in my HBD flat. He will need lots of space to romp about and also high fencing, as he is very strong and can leap over shorter barriers. The rescuer found a very young pup, lying lifeless beneath a bench in a construction site. His neck area was wet with an unknown substance. Fleas crawling all over... his baby face and worms made his little tummy appear bulging like a sack. He looked weak and sick, and could bearly walked, stumbling as he tried to get up.

Once we brought him into the car, his hunger drove him to sniff out the box of char siew bao we had, his weak little body suddenly alive cos his hunger was so strong, he used his little strength to paddle towards the scent. He ate and drank, clearly his last meal was very long ago.

We then took him to the vet to be treated for fleas and dewormed. And he later came home with me.

Although I had only known him for a few hours, this little boy has a loyal heart. He at times turns back to look at me with his puppy-round eyes. And when I placed him on the sofa or floor to lie down, he will look up at me, and moved to place his head on my lap, or just his body next to me.

He comes when I call. And he sits still to be wiped clean. He even knows to poo on the newspaper! But will still soil on the floor.

This boy has won my heart. And we have decided to give him a second chance. He will grow up to be a medium sized dog.

We are looking for someone who is familiar with local breeds and is willing and able to raise up a very young pup, who may whine and cry at night (but he will stop as soon as you place him near you), needs to be trained and forgiven for his puppy mistakes for now. Someone who understands the commitment to the lifetime of an animal.

URGENT

Genie is a stray that met in a car accident...Rescuer is appealing for help for this poor skinny dog that she spent about 2 hours on TPE expressway, on the midnight of Sunday 29 Nov 2009 looking for it. Genie was spotted when rescuer was heading back home on TPE... She was walking alone in the fast speed lane 1 of the expressway... When rescuer called for help, LTA arrived about 25 mins after she called and guided Genie to a area. But LTA informed rescuer that they are not catching the poor dog, so she decided to do it herself... Rescuer went into the grassland between the two way traffic expressway to carry the poor dog out...and brought her food and drink.

Genie is under weight...VERY BAD CONDITION when found. She weigh only 9kg and can only see bones... She had lots of open wounds on her body and legs... and barely can stand on herself... She's a very good looking dog and very timid... Under the TLC of her rescuer, Genie is recovering well and her wounds are healing up nicely... Had done her first vaccination and annual heartworm jab. Will be going for her second vaccination soon... Currently, Genie is at rescuer's place but she can't keep her for good as she has 4 other dogs...

She is 3 months and such a clown now. She knows how to sit before her food / treats and has a very good appetite. She is a very curious pup and adores people, other dogs (and food), which we are happy as the vet says this is good rehabilitation on her part. No matter how soundly she is sleeping, snoring upside down turtle style, the minute she hears rustling of plastic bag or someone eating, you can be sure Sandy is silently by your side looking on - hopeful.

Yes Hopeful Sandy that is what we call her. Currently undergoing treatment right now for her skin due to environment and stress prior to her rescue, otherwise she is very healthy, playful and very cute, curious and readily shows her happiness by wagging her tail continuously. She knows her name very well, knows how to sit and walks well on leash. We are still training her on her toilet habits. She is not barky but whimpers or whine to sound her happiness or hunger.

Sandy was saved from being put down just hours before the deadline was up. Seeing her happy, alive and a carefree pup makes us very glad to have rescued her in the nick of time. Unfortunately, Sandy will not be suitable for HDB (or public housing) as she is considered a mid-size dog. She will grow into a small mid size.

SPCA says they will put it to sleep if there is no adoption within 2 weeks.

Tinkerbell has just went through a very traumatizing experience with a vet for a careless un-stitched opened wound. Hence, this ordeal has triggered her foster mummy to give her extra care, extra attention and extra love and we realised that Tinkerbell is not just a plain Chihuahua.?Tinkerbell is very special because she has a very strong living will and cheerful personality. She is easy going with smaller size dogs, loves to play with kids and she is extremely friendly with human.?She has been estimated by the vet to be around 6 years old.

One thing though, Tinkerbell will mark everywhere when she first enter a stranger place. And, she will become very anxious if you play pen or cage her up. For it, we do not encourage the new owner to lock her up in a toilet or a cage to expect that her marking habit will disappear after a while. we can tell you that this is not a magical training and Tinkerbell will get anxious even more. But, do not worry about it, Tinkerbell will pee & poo on paper once she has marked enough at your house.

Due to deprived from food previously, Tinkerbell will eat whatever that you want to give, including pills. Hence, she will pig out like there is no tomorrow.?
Please don't be surprised that Tinkerbell gets to choose who will be her new owner.

Terms & conditions if you are considering to adopt Tinkerbell:
1.) Please try not to lock her up in any cage / play pen or toilet because she will bang herself and result on a bleeding nose.
2.) Bring her for a walk at least once a day because she really enjoys breathing the fresh air.
3.) Please don't stuff her with low grade dog food (be it canned or kibbles) because she deserves better food. Just like us, we won't want to eat instant noodle with hotdog everyday, right?
4.) Pay more attentions and don't treat her like a 2nd hand dog. If you want to adopt her to keep your other dog's company, we would advise you that this is not exactly a good idea. The reason is that Tinkerbell is a big bully and she wants to be treated like a Queen.
5.) You are required to have CHEMISTRY with Tinkerbell. If there's no love at the 1st sight, the chances of adopting her would be slim.
6.) Adoption fee: Tinkerbell is priceless. We would be glad if you could donate a small token to MWS (Mdm Wong's Shelter) for taking in Tinkerbell when she was being trashed out from the puppy mills.
7.) Medical history: Heartworm tested negative, Hernia being repaired, spayed, tooth scaling done. Total medical bills chalked out: S$1,000+ ( we've settled the bill). Also, she is being mircropchipped and we are holding all the documents.

Shin (Siberian Husky)

Shin, a 6 year-old male Siberian Husky, was rescued from a HDB home where he was leashed to the kitchen window all day with no walk and no opportunity for socialization. He slept, ate and defecated within a 1 meter radius.

When we rescued him in 2008, his legs were found wobbly due to stunted growth and his nails were hooked and long. He was given a mere plate of rice, meshed with an egg everyday.?/font>Now after a year of proper foster care, Shin is completely different. He is fattened up, well socialized and lives in a community of other dogs and loving humans. He is ready to go to a good forever home.

We are looking for an owner who knows the breed well and understands the requirements of keeping a Siberian Husky in Singapore's hot humid climate. Importantly, we are looking for a family who is ready to commit to loving and caring for Shin for the rest of his life.

Shin is friendly and laid-back and loves to go for walks.?He is neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, groomed regularly and trained in basic commands.

A sweet, non aggressive and mild dog, Kyoto was rescued from an industrial area, in a car parts shop. She would hide beneath the cars, amidst battery water and car acid that ate into her fur and skin.?Kyoto, then always had bad bloody, bald patches all over her body.?

She gave birth to a beautiful litter of 9 pups, sadly none survived for long as they were affected by the fumes and chemicals. This was the second litter that died and in view of this, a volunteer from ALL took her away and now Kyoto resides at Pets Villa with her glossy black fur and happy smile, no more bald patches, no more chemical burns. Kyoto has since been sterilised and now looking forward to meet her new family and home.

Ben and Jerry are two very lovable dogs. They are brothers who were previously rehomed together. Sadly, they are not as lucky as 3 of their siblings. The new home they were rehomed to, did not turn out to be what was promised. This house had two older dogs that seemed territorial when it came to food. Therefore, Ben and Jerry often were left without food since the owners maid simply placed one bowl on the floor for the dogs to eat from.

During a house visit, it was discovered that Ben and Jerry were malnourished and living under unsuitable conditions. Thankfully, they were rescued in the nick of time. The two brothers are sweet, quiet, loving dogs. All they have asked for is a good home to love them. They are now recovering at Pets Villa and are due for a third vaccination in 2 weeks.

Other than being too skinny, these two boys are healthy and happy as declared by the vet. They are very gentle with different personalities.

Ben is the quieter of the two. He tends to sit away and observe before coming forward to mingle. He appears to be the more street wise one! However, once he warms up, the kisses never end.

In contrast, Jerry is extremely outgoing. Jerry cannot wait to play. He loves children and cannot wait for hugs and kisses. He loves treats and tends to be the more daring one. Jerry is having a very bad skin problem now that will require time and effort to heal, he is already on medication.

Ben and Jerry only require lots of tender loving care and loads of food. They are paper trained and are very reliant on each other. They get along well with both big and small dogs. However, given the constrains of most homes, it would be difficult to ask for them to be adopted together. These boys would need to go to an experienced home that can give them the love they deserve. They do not need to be adopted together. Please help us show them love does exist.

Please help...my friend has been feeding this pack of puppies and their mom for the past weeks or so now and they are in desperate need of a home cos where they are hanging out, there are all these trucks and cars going about and these puppies have no idea that the cars and trucks are dangerous! Currently, they are safe in a small man made shelter, with the approval of the kind management.

I tried emailing some organization but either they did not reply or has no room for them.

Santa was found abandoned by his previous order at the void deck of their flat, scrounging hungrily for food. He is four months old, and has had his first vaccination and deworming tablet. He's unsterilised (not the right age).

Santa is a lively active curious male puppy and is extremely intelligent. He barks when he needs to go downstairs to do his business. He responds well to training and knows how to sit and shake hands on command. In fact, he now shakes hand automatically when he sits.

Hugo is a surviving puppy from a litter of puppies that have all foundhomes. Sadly, Hugo was not rescued when he was chubby and small unlike hissiblings. He was not sighted by us when we had rescued the other puppies. He had probably lost his way and was left to survive it he jungle with no foodor water or shelter. However, he had found his way to the area where we fed our dogs and is developing a very sweet personality now. He is still very thin and requires a lot more good food.

I am Cocoa. a one year old, local chocolate dog. I'mcurrently living out on the streets with my mummy, daddy and little sis. Life has been a rollercoaster for me. I was born in a vehicle car park a year ago along with 5 other siblings. Two of my siblings were rescued as puppies and rehomed. Another brother of mine was found dead after being hit by a pole by a terrible man. My sister and I are the remaining of the litter my mummy had. I've been living my days out in the cold rain and learning the art of rummaging for food from mummy. Worst still, running from the authorities has not been an easy task. Thankfully, I am now being fed by a kind old lady who comes to feed us every evening.

However, she has not been able to take me in. Recently, I've grown pretty handsome and am fully grown. Most importantly, as you can see from my Pictures, I'm pretty small for a local dog! This makes me even more suitable for a family with kids and other dogs as well. I don't fight for food, I wait my turn and never ask for much. All I ask for is the chance of a lifetime which could turn the dreams of a stray into reality. Please give me the chance to love you and snuggle up to you with my little brown nose.

Cookie (Kangaroo-lookalike pup!)

Blessed with big upright "kangaroo" ears, Cookie was barely 1 month old when found abandoned in a carpark. She is currently 4 months old and urgently looking for a loving home. She doesn't ask for much but just love and lifetime promise to take care of her as part of family.

This poor mongrel was found with a nylon string tied tightly to his neck. The neck area was infected with maggots. A kind man saw it and took him to the vet and had him boarded. Young Male, estimated 1+ year old, unsterilised. Quiet boy, wary of stranger but friendly, not fierce at all and doesn't growl. Instead will move back (reverse) when u raise ur hand. High EQ dog!

Old Boy

'Old Boy' was found in Toa Payoh area recently. He was wandering around aimlessly when he was brought back to be bathed and fed. He's called 'Old Boy' because of his wise-looking light-colored centre-parting "hairdo".

Old Boy is currently housed at my friend's place and is urgently looking for a good home. We are not too sure about his temperaments due to his short stay (about 2-4 days only) but so far he is gentle and sweet.

4 puppies URGENTLY looking for fosterers or permanent homes (can be adopted individually)

Approx? to? months old. Their home is now a forested area near a park (their mom & 3 siblings were captured by the authority & put to sleep, so these 4 poor pups have been fending for themselves and depending on people to feed them). They have no shelter and as its been raining heavily for the past week the pups have been totally drenched and only know how to huddle together to keep warm. They do not venture out from their area as I guess they think of that place as پehomeپf since their mom left them there and they donپft know of anywhere else to go to. If they venture out, there are only houses around and the road where they could get hit by vehicles. They would probably be chased away if they entered the park area.

As they are getting bigger and think of their area as their home, they are starting to bark at people who walk past. The owner who took in these abandoned dogs has compassion but no ability to care for them. They are only given one meal a day with limited opportunity to socialize. They are left in 2 rooms from 8am to 9pm every day. The environment is poor; as a consequence, many have ticks and skin problem. If we cant find them a home, more drastic action may be taken. It turns out that the "lost" dog belongs to a man who used to keep the dog tied up and neglected him terribly. Well, one day when he got the chance, the smart dog bolted. He was found by a teacher who decided to foster him with the help of a friend, while looking for his owner. She took him to the vet, got him checked up and helped treat a skin irritation around the dog's neck caused by the tight collar. Then she found the owner and realized he really didn't care for the dog, so she and her friend decided to keep the dog, as the dog is such a good furkid and smart and they'd grown deeply attached to him. She describes him as "obedient, intelligent and loyal". So now, the dog has a new, caring home where he has space to run around - and the best part is that he quite literally found his new home and humans himself. :):):)

See, she is play-biting the ear of the older white pup and the white pup doesn't mind it at all (good tempered!). The white female cross breed pup beside her is already fully grown and has been sterilized and vaccinated. Good with children and other dogs. Needs a garden to roam in. Will definitely be a good pet cum watch dog.

Jewel has been adopted! Jewel is a 3-4 months old, cream colour male that looks like a golden pup. This adorable puppy was rescued on 30th of July in Jurong Island. He was found lying motionless but was still breathing tho' obviously in pain. It seemed he had been attacked by another dog. The kind-hearted rescuer brought him to Animal Clinic at Sunset Way and he was on antibiotic and pain killer. He is okay now, cheerful but a bit lazy tho', sleeps a lot and responds to the name Jewel and food. He has good appetite and loves to play. Adopting party must agree to neuter him later.

Lucky is a male purebred Jack Russell Terrier who is about 1 year old.?He is forever so happy with his tail wagging non-stop. He is active but not super active like some pinball JRT. He walks properly on the leash and will not pull.?He also rides well in the car. He is very affectionate and wants to play with humans all the time and is friendly with other dogs. He was rescued from a drain and his wound has almost healed. Probably he has been used to easing himself as and when he needs, he does not seem to be toilet trained or he might have been trained once but has forgotten it. However, we are certain he has had some training before as he knows simple commands already.?Considering his unpleasant experience before being rescued, he is a strong-willed dog who still manages to remain jovial, positive and happy all the time.

Kuro-chan has been adopted! We first called her Hei Hei (black black in Mandarin) but no response. Then we tried Kuro (black in Japanese).?The "chan" is added as a term of endearment according to Japanese customs.?She responded so her name became Kuro-chan. This 3 month old puppy's mommy is a golden retriever and daddy is a black lab. She was born as a result of irresponsible owners who live in landed properties and did not sterilize their dogs. She was infested with ticks and was so weak she could not even stand up properly when we rescued her. Now, under our care, she is totally free of ticks and fleas and is growing up healthily and happily. She is both paper trained and toilet trained outside.پ@

Sport has been adopted!? This is Sport, a pedigree Miniature Pinscher. Sport is a 2 years old boy and we were very impressed by his good behaviour when we first saw him. He has had basic training and is toilet trained outside. He is very clean and does not shed very much. He behaves nicely inside our house and did not even try to jump onto our bed. This little boy is very intelligent and sensitive and is also not so active. He even enters into the crate himself at night when he wants to sleep. He can really be a lap dog once you gain his trust. He also does not bark very much. Actually we haven't heard him bark till now! He does have a strange inclination: he prefers men to women! <LOL> Towards women, he may be defensive by bearing his teeth and growling to indicate his discomfort. Hence, women should be more patient with him and give him more time to slowly know you. Once he trusted you, he is the sweetest dog you could ever dream of!

Jet has been adopted! This 6 kg, 1.5 year old male sweetie is given up by his owner because their maid has left and they could not cope with taking care of him. He came into that family as a result of impulse buying by the father because his child had done well in the exam. The pet shop staff said he is a "lap dog" and "very suitable for your children". They did not explain that JRT is a very active breed and not suitable for apartment life. Jet spent most of his life tied up in the kitchen. You can still see the scar on his neck. Despite this, he has not developed any behavioral problems and is in good health (just a bit underweight). Luckily for Jet, his ex-mummy did not abandon him and came to us for help. He is toilet-trained and will urinate immediately when he goes out of the house. Jet does not bite and gets along well with children and other dogs. He is very active, loves people and loves to play all the time. He sleeps through the night in the crate quietly. He only barks when there's someone at the door.
