I was out for lunch break when I saw him in front of a police box (koban) at Yoyogi, Tokyo. The police said he already called the dog pound people to come pick him up and they will kill him in 3 days time. He looked like he was sick, very dull and didn't eat anything given to him by passers-by. I decided to adopt him but was unable to bring him back immediately as I still had work to do at the office. Luckily, a kind landlord of a building next door offered to keep him till night time.

After work, I took the train home, got into my car and rushed back all the way to Yoyogi. When I saw him again, I was pleasantly surprised as he was bouncing up and down in the landlord's penthouse. He jumped into the car and off we went. The car ride was stressful as it was an one-hour journey and he kept howling and groping around. Then as soon as we arrived, he jumped out of the car and poo-pooed and pee-peeed! Heeheehee, lucky he didn't do it inside my one-week-old Mercedes Benz!
After visiting the vet, I had him shampooed. Wow, the guy said he had to do it twice 'cos Hua Hua was just too dirty! When he came out of the shop, I saw stars glistering around him, he looked so different, I could not believe it was the same dog!
I have since brought him to the US and back to Japan, then to S'pore. Many people said Hua Hua is very lucky, but I always tell them, "No, it is me who is very lucky to have found him." Hua Hua is indeed a god-send. ** big grin **
